Information Romania for Ukrainian Refugees

Romania is a country with 238,397 km2, with a population of under 18.9 million inhabitants (2023).

Romania is supporting refugees from day one of the Russian aggression, governmental, nongovernmental organisations are providing various forms of assistance.

Bucharest, as capital of Romania is the main hub of assistance to Ukrainian refugees, The Bucharest General Directorate of Social Assistance is providing 24/7 hours assistance in the Bucharest Train Station with a transit center for the Ukrainian refugees and the RomExpo Ukrainian refugees assistance hub were in partnership with several non-governmental associations during week days.

Romania is also providing limited financial support to registered refugees.
